Seems like just yesterday that I was reading the "Buffett in Vegas" threads...could we just copy and paste that previous thread into this one...? :o

Did not make Vegas last time, but will try this time...Let's see, Vegas, then San Diego, then Irvine....oh my...! 8) 8)

Okay guys - here's my advise, being the Vegas local. All the party stuff for Buffett will be in the vicinity of the Strip area, so I wouldn't suggest staying "downtown" unless you have a designated driver or alot of money for cabs. If you decide to stay downtown, the Golden Nuggett is the nicest of the downtown hotels, but of course a little more than the others. If you don't care, I'd suggest the Four Queens or Fitzgeralds - both a little older, but generally regular type rooms and clean.

Maybe wanna hit the MGM NOW before the rates go up - if they haven't already. Check out the hotesl in the area of the MGM - which would be the Tropicana, NY NY, Excaliber (old but clean and newly decorated rooms, probably cheaper than the others), down the street by Flamingo Road - the Flamingo, Terrible Herbst Casino (new, just off the beaten path and probably less expensive), The Rio is reasonable and nice rooms.

I would suggest putting something on hold NOW, you can always cancel before and who knows what PH's and parties will be planned as it gets close as far as rooms and stuff like that!

Idaho Boys - why don't ya just fly into Vegas, rent an RV from here and drive to all the concerts? That way you won't have to chose! Just take the week off! I am opbviously hitting here, and definitely Irvine, seriously considering Shoreline cause I hear it's great.

Any other Vegas questions let me know and I'll keep ya'll posted of any party plannign I hear of or are part of! And yes, I am sure that the MGM will have the Parrot Paradise open as always before the conert. And no - whoever asked before, this IS NOT for the Margaritaville opening - the latest dates on that is January.

When Jimmy needs to slow down a bit from touring, they should build him a permanent venue in Vegas to play. That would be great...Jimmy in Vegas, appearing nightly, 3 times a week.... :D

To add to Honey Do's list, the Orleans is pretty nice, and since it's more of a local's place, it might be cheaper. I've never priced the rooms, so I'm not sure, but could be worth a try. Tropicana is right across the street from MGM, but I haven't been to the Strip in awhile and I don't know if it's even still open.

I heard he was coming back in September - I'm glad to find out it's true, but I'd like to make at least one show outside of Vegas sometime!

I'm really likin' that idea!

But it's a long way home for JB, I don't think that would go over to well.
And I'll bet he's had mucho offers.
