Wouldn't it be great if it rained beer? Instead of water falling....you'd just have glorious beads of icy cold beer falling from the heavens! It would be especially good if it was a big thunderstorm of Corona or something good....a downpour of PBR would not really be cause to celebrate!

oh, no, my friend, you seriously underestimate the following, the history, and particularly the guzzleability of PBR. Especially the tall boys. 16oz cans of icy cold PBR...that's not a bad thing at all...[could be my Atlanta/Little 5 Points days coming back to haunt me] Party on!

Wahooooooooo....raining Corona.....I'm gonna have some good dreams tonite!!!!!

Anyways...just a few quick notes for Vegas attendees.......I just confirmed with the GM of Wild Wild West that the pool party is happening Thursday from 7 to 10pm. Remember, 1st hour (that would be 7-8pm!) is free drinks for all parrotheads!

He's also working to arrange for one of the band members (Kenny Owens for those who know him) to entertain inside after that.....so we should be able to continue the party there!

He also has rooms available for the weekend if anyone is still seeking a place to stay. Its not a glamourous hotel.....but it is a convenient location (you could walk to both Tommy Rockers and MGM from there!)....rates are currently about $59 a nite for the weekend but will go up as inventory decreases......If anyone is looking for a cheap room, call them now at 702-740-0000.

Its only a week away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

i stayed there once.....never again......for the $59.00 to $69.00 you can find a few places a step or 2 higher up the class scale.
even motel 6 is better than that place.

I believe there are still some parrot head room rates available at the Key Largo, which is a step or two above the Wild Wild West. A step or two, no more!

Only four more sleeps until the partying begins. :D 8) :D

Not sure that Kenny will be convinced to stay later at the WWW.......from what I hear, he has about 100 gigs in about five days! I said something to him about it and he looked at me like I was from another planet! But that's okay, I'm sure us parrot heads will find a way to entertain ourselves! Just sit around and watch each other and that would entertainment! :pirate: :wench: :pirate: :wench:

If you are talking about the pre-party in theme park, cameras are allowed there.

They are not allowed in the arena....however, they don't frisk you or do an extensive search on the way in. The security guards will confiscate them though.....so if you sneak one in, take pics and quickly stash the camera! (not that I would ever condone such activity.....as i'm a completely honest and law abiding parrothead!)

Cheap and close by - check out the Key Largo Hotel, they have a parrot head rate. It's not awesome, but fairly close by. Also, right across the street, a little newer, is a La Quinta and I hear their rooms are decent. Both are on the corner of Flamingo and Paradise. MAybe check out Terribles Casino too - right on the opposite corner from these two.

The Key Largo's is a Quality Inn, number (702) 733-7777. Their minimum stay is two nights. Might try calling instead of the computer, they're a little behind in the times possibly.

La Quinta across the street is in the Howard Hughes Center, so it's newer and fairly nicer. Their toll free is 1-800-531-5900, or their local number is (702) 796-9000. The location is 3970 Paradise Road. Just to make sure, ask if it's the one located by "restaurant row."

Terrible's Casino is (702) 733-7000 - on the southeast corner of Flamingo and Paradise.

Hope that helps you.

What are the odds of getting a camera taken after you click off a picture? I was thinking of sneeking my digital camera in, and sneeking a pic won't be tough. But I don't know if it is worth losing a 200 dollar camera. Disposables aren't very great quality from far away. I'll be sitting in in U204 or L204, so how strict is the camera security way back there?

be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in

Last time I heard of some people taking pictures and when security came up to find out who it was, they were pointing at other people. So, it didn't get taken away. I think if they take it, they just either take it up front and yu claim it after, or they take you and it up front for you to put in a claim for it. I don't think they actually confiscate it and keep it.

I don't think they'd be too strict back there...I was about 15 rows away on the floor last spring and snapped quite a few, granted it was disposable. I don't think that there are nearly the number of ushers at the top as there are on the floor...I doubt that you'd have a problem...when someone around me has gotten caught, they usually get warned first, and then if anything else, they take the film out not the camera...
