I assume that this is something that this venue does for all its shows? I bet the scalpers are the papers best customers :-?

well phind yourself someone who lives in mountain view and make them an offer. as for the chronicle, you could subscribe and take your chances on what kind of tix you get. if they turn out to b for the lawn, at least you have those and could buy better from some one with extras.

OK so all y'all SF Cronicle people are freaking me out. Does that mean the rest of the northern Caliornia folks do not have a chance at getting a ticket?

well tix or no tix party any way. but if you have never been to shoreline before, then the only semi organized tail gate i have seen in any parking lot there, is actually at the sports page bar on ampitheater parkway on the way to and from shoreline. i have seen small groups of people on the various side streets along the way. the large party type gathering like vegas, irvine and san diego and all points east, just does not seem to exist. and that would be because the mountain view police love to spoil anybody's good time for any reason.

i don't think they ever sell out the lawn section.

and after last year with the guy taking a dive off the roof and going splat on one of jimmy's tour buses, i doubt the police will be in an easygoing mood about tailgating.

but hey the guy got airlifted to stanford med center in one of my CALSTAR med evac helicopters.....

I'd feel bad for you, but I have no soul.....

i thought jimmy wouldnt stoop to this crap. he obviously has some financial ties to this newspaper. does this mean that there will be no or few good seats at the venue when i go to purchase? what's next? a registration card stating that youre a voting democrat? everything is getting just a bit too scrupulous anymore.

Both days of the Dave Matthwese Band concerts this year sold out to corporate and chronichle subs before the general puplic sale. We are doing the lawn seats for that and expect the same for Buffett. A shame for real fans. Many of the seats in the front rows will be on e-bay tuesday or will be unnoccupied during the show. We will persevere and have fun anyway.

Is there anyone out there who has a SF Chronicle password that they would share? I actually subscribed this morning, thinking how I would be able to obtain pre-sale tickets. Foiled again! The confirmation came through, but NO password.
