Plan ahead for PanJam

Post by Mango Picker »

Spring Squawker!

Hey, glad to see this... Now I can plan ahead.... ! I missed the last one. The Kemah area is pretty neat now, and Tropical Trader and a few other places are well worth the visit.

I will tell my PH chums around here too!

The Aquarium Resturant had a great Buffett-esque performer last time I was down there (it's been awhile). I wonder if he still performs...

Club Trini? COOOOL... What about Amy Lee?

Tnx! fm the Wdlnds...

Don't know who is attending, except the ones listed on the Pan Jam site. Hope Amy comes, but guess we will have to wait and see.

See you in Kemah!

I know Amy is not in "the club", alas...
One can hope she could be invited...

Kemah is by Galveston Bay and lots and lots of marinas and boats. A great place for a Caribbean music phest! Ferris wheel, kids rides, lotsa good places to eat (and partake of nautical type frosty blended boat drinks) :pirate:

It be quittin time here in Texas, and I gotta run home. My new Margaritaville PC mouse arrived today...!!! Gotta go play with my mouse.

I just got permission from the festival producer to post this:

The Pan Jam has Robert, Michael, Ralph MacDonald, Nadirah Shakoor and Robert's bringing 3 from his own personal band. Get ready for a wild ride!

Looks like there is going to be a full house and more talent than anyone can imagine!
I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Who else is coming to Kemah???

Bringing this to the top with an update-----

I've been in contact with Wanda, the Producer of Pan Jam and this is her latest update:

She is so excited because Pan Jam will now have 4 of Robert's band plus Jimmy's sound guy and equipment guy!
What a concert this will be!!!

The Pan Jam page has been updated, so check it outl
http://www.panjamfestival.com/

And if you want to come and spend time in Kemah, there is going to be a meet and greet the night before. For $50 you get an incredible meal, some pan music and you get to meet and greet the band. Like being backstage at a Buffett concert without Buffett.

The official hotel is South Shore Harbour Resort. If you mention Pan Jam, the rooms are $100 a night, rather than $125 - $140. Get a few people together, it will be worth it. She is working on arranging shuttle service so you don't have to mess with cars.

Sounds like a good deal! The dinner is first come, first serve, so if you are interested, check it out.

This just in about Pan Jam:

Good news!! The Pan Jam Meet and Greet Buffet Dinner has just acquired a larger room for the dinner so 30+ seats have opened up. A live auction will also be held that night. Go to www.panjamfestival.com and click on Meet and Greet Dinner to sign up! Seating is limited and surprises will be many! We are also looking for donations for live and silent auctions. I have ideas if you don't -- contact me through the Pan Jam web page. And don't forget to plan to be at the parade at 10 am! This will be a very special and unique parade!
Wanda J. Laborde, Producer

If anyone has anything that can be donated for the silent auction, please contact Wanda.
Thanks!
