Avatars??

I used to have an avatar and know where to find them here, But Ive lost it and cant find any here now, I found some neat ones on google but Im lost plz help!!!

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. If you're asking how to make an avatar show up, follow the link below. If you're asking where to find avatars, I can' t help you. Maybe others can.

Find the ones again on Google (image search is great!) and decide which one you want. Click on it and bring it up at the top of the page. If you click on it again, it will become it's actual size which may be too big, but if not great. When you get the size you want, right click it and select properties from the menu that pops up. It will then pop up a box that will include the official address of the image. Copy this address and post it in the avatar blank in your profile. This should do it. Good luck!

for some reason I still cant find the avatars that were once here.....

phjim disabled them due to technical difficulties... can't explain the specifics.

You now need to link to other urls for your avatar - try to keep it under 100x100 pixels if possible.

It worked, but it's a LITTLE big

When you right clikc on propeties, it will tell you the size. Tiki Bar was right on...you want to stay at around 100 x 100 pixels. (Pixels are just how you "measure" pictures is all. Don't be afraid!)

I stand corrected. Here's the scoop from the Head BuffettNews guy himself (you can actually have up to 140x140 pixels).
1. Log in using your username and password.

2. Click on "Profile" near the top of the page

3. Near the bottom of the Profile page find the "Avatar control panel" section. In the field "Link to off-site Avatar:" , enter the URL address of the picture you want to link to. You should include the name of the gif or jpg file. Your avatar size should not exceed 140 x 140 pixels.

Can anyone explain how to "shrink" the size of the avatar???? I think Gumbo Gal's bowl is just adorable, but I don't think she's THAT hungry! She only ordered a SMALL bowl of gumbo!

I just right clicked over her avatar... saved the pic ot my computer.. loaded it in the photo gallery here, and copied the URL when it was done.
