making friends at concerts

Post by ohmyhell »

this is kind of off topic, but i was just curious about people's experience with making friends at the concerts/tail gate parties. i've met some great people at the shows in vegas and phoenix the past year. i'd consider them good friends and it blows my mind i met them randomly at a concert. the one i met at the festivities in vegas i hang out with at least once a week. i'd like to know if anyone else has had similar experiences? oh yeah, and i even met CRC there!

Most definitely OMH!!! HS and I started having Labor Day parties when we moved into this house a few years ago........it's now turned into a "Who From BN Will Show Up" party  It's gotten to the point our non-PH friends and family show up just to watch the shenanigans!!!! The phriends HS and I have made in the past 2 years through BN mean ALOT to us!!!!

Speaking from the experiences I have had over my 10 years going to concerts and especially from my experience this past weekend at Nissan, anytime you get a chance to meet BN people, you can't go wrong! They all rock! :D

You can never go wrong meeting BN people. We met some great people this weekend, as we have in the past. You never know who will become a life long friend. Met Buckeye thru BN, became good friends and she's in my wedding next year.........YA JUST NEVER KNOW!

After lurking for some time, I just had to reply to this post. Thanks to a Buffett concert I met my husband. I was at the August 19, 1998 show in Camden with a bunch of friends. I started talking to the guy next to us on the lawn (he'll tell you it was because he had two beers in his hand) and we hit it off. He memorized my phone number and called me a few days later. The rest is history....we were married in 2000, had our first child in 2001 and are now expecting our second......anything is possible at a Buffett concert!!!!

Goosebumps, Mon!

Buffett concerts are a beautiful thing. The atmosphere is like a big ol' family reunion... there are people you don't "know", but they're all family and you care about them, and share lotsa laughs and take pictures together!

I was highly bummed i missed meeting BNers at Alpine this year. Next year, or Chicago in August even, I will exchange cell phone #'s.

I met a great PH at Alpine during the concert and lost her number. Guess I'll have to start over at Tinley Park. By the way, is it too early to start talking about JB at Tinley Park August 23rd?

Over the years I've met many, many people at Jimmy's concerts, but this is the first year I got to meet BN Parrot Heads. Best year yet! :D A great time with great people! Oh and thanks again Buckeye for the Corona button. I'll always think of you when it's flashing. :o
