The reviewer from our paper said that it was good but it was 45 minutes too long.
That's a load of bull poo...I was actually mad that it was over! I wanted to see more!

Wow-- I didn't know that was the same girl!

Along the same lines, Orlando Bloom has graduated to far beyond his "Lord of the Rings" elf status! (Looks more grown-up now, too!)

Hubby and I always want to go to the movies, but somehow we hardly ever go. I always know what's playing out there; hubby never does.
Last week hubby tells me there is this movie he really, really wants to see. I countered with "I want to see Pirates of the Caribbean." He pulls out an article from his sailing magazine and says, 'That's the one!" So maybe we will actually see this one!

Just got back from the movie and I've learned a new lesson: from now on, whatever the reviewer in the Washington Post has to say about a movie, I'll believe the opposite!

He had nothing good to say about this movie, but it was the most fun I've had at a movie in a long time! Definitely worth checking out! Two fins up!!! :pirate:

Went yesterday, took the Keets ( boys 5 & 9 ). They both loved it, they have been racing around the house and yard being pirates, hitting each other with sticks ( sword fighting ).

It was a great movie, I give it full PHINS UP!!!

Went last night and loved it. Thought it was one of the best movies I have seen in a while, and I see a lot of movies. Had a lot of comedy and Johnny Depp was excellent

Yeah, FC101, you caught me-- I'm a total night owl.

Saw the movie tonight at the El Capitan in Hollywood-- complete with all the pirate gear (all the ushers were in pirate costumes, and the lobby was decorated with a bunch of costumes and props from the film), organ music, treasure & cannons in the balcony boxes, and giant skull and crossbones over the screen that let out a sinister laugh before the movie started... But even if there wasn't all that hoopla, this would have still been one of the best movie experiences I've ever had... I agree with all of you guys-- this is a must see... Johnny Depp really is, as PHAW Webmistress put it, "Freaking Awesome!!!"

My review for the film: PHA-BU-LOUS!!!
One word for the leading pirate men: HEAVENLY!!!

Lucky me, I'm leaving on a cruise tomorrow... Do you think I'll run into Will Turner on the way to Ensenada???

I saw it last Thursday and gave it 7.5 Jolly Rogers out of 10. I am VERY critical of movies and this is the highest rating I have given since I went to see JAWS in the 70s.

My favorite scene was lso the rum scene on the island. It makes me want to smuggle some plunder into the theater the next time I see it. It convinced me of what I already knew...200 years ago I lived life as a pirate. GO SEE THIS MOVIE, you won't regret the 8.50/person.

Well, off to MYB for 5 nights to waste away!! God knows I love this time of year!!! See ya'll later! :D

I saw it last night, and I have to agree with what everyone else has said... This is an awesome movie. I was sceptical at first, but I left the theater planning on when I could see it agin.

This is the best summer movie I have seen in years!

Adding my .02 worth, this is the best movie by far to come out this summer! In fact, the best movie I've seen in a long time. I will be buying it the day it comes out on DVD!!!!!

The script is hilarious, the actors all did outstanding and the special effects are truely the best I have seen yet. The skeletons actually look alive!!!!!
