We'll if you get up this way, let me know. I'll show you the sights! This one is Oshkosh #23 for me.

Now if I can just get the number of concerts to balance with the number of air shows.....

Jack

Those of you that have been to Oshkosh, did you fly in or drive in? I'm just wondering if it is real hectic to fly in since it's the biggest fly-in in the country or if they are good about getting everybody in

I'd like to say it is a piece of cake to fly in to Oshkosh -- 51 weeks out of the year. It's the one coming up that gets hectic!

Actually it is pretty good if everyone follows the published procedures. I've done it (just so I could experience it first hand) and it was pretty easy. You basically keep looking for traffic, shut up and fly. The controllers go just about non-stop. No N-numbers, just things like "High wing over the numbers, land long. Tailrdragger on base, turn final now...." The controllers are fantastic and in fact compete to get here each summer.

I don't know how far this thread should creep, but if there's interest I'd start an Oshkosh thread on the Off Topic area. I'd be happy to share expereince of Oshkosh and Sun 'n Fun.

If the Hemisphere Dancer was to ever fly around on tour how many would go to see it.

Would you pay to have your picture taken with it for charity?
