Where is that bar? Where was the live show? And did anyone else think the "concert" didn't seem to go with the crowd? Then who are those parrotheads in the parking lots?

:-?

I haven't seen the video, but Alan joined Jimmy at the Indy show to tape the Buffett segment of it.

Saw the video... It was OK... I thought the beginning was good, but the transition into the live show was horrible... I just thought the two parts didn't go together... Great song though....

Have yet to see the video, but am looking forward to it. If anything, just to see Jimmy on TV in any form is great! I had a question dealing with the song itself. Not sure if this has been addressed in another post or not, but I was wondering if anyone knew who the songwriter(s) were. Jimmy?

from alanjackson.com

Produced by Keith Stegall and written by Jim "Moose" Brown and Don Rollins, "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" blends the humor and laid-back styles of both artists.

If I remember correctly

Alan walks through a door at the bar and ends up on-stage. As far as humor of both artits, yes it's there. It's just the bad mix of the concert/crowd that makes me wonder what they were thinking.

Part of the video (the boat scene) was also filmed at the Castaways Marina in Jupiter, FL....maybe they have a bar they used to film the bar scene?

Hey, maybe it was because I was at the concert and it was a great part of the show, it sure seemed to fit well that night. What do you mean the crowd didn't go with it? Yes it was a Jimmy crowd but the song made it fit. Jimmy was great, they played have way through the song, then Jimmy stopped Mac from singing Alan's part and out walked Alan. Of course in the video you don't see that part maybe with being there and seeing the transition makes it seem right. The place went nuts when Alan walked out, they finished the song, then did it the whole way through again with Alan singing, the crowd was singing and Jimmy was smiling and dancing. They then did Margaritaville and again, Both alan and Jimmy were great together. I also must say that I was sober at this one, still trying to figure that one out, but it wasn't just the tequila that made the show great. Of course getting to meet Jimmy at Cheeseburger in Paradise before the show may have also helped to enhance the evening.

No offense to the crowd. It's the video it just didnt flow or rather seemed staged. It's like they dubbed the words over in studio. Watch the video and you will see.

Does anybody think that Jimmy will make an appearance on CMT Most Wanted Live with Alan? I doubt it but a lot of times the artist(s) appear at the show when they premier a video

The bar was at Castaways, and the boat in the video is AJ's boat - Hullbilly.

Alan is NOT appearing on MWL this weekend, they're just debuting the video.
