This will be my
first! Been to Key West lots before, but never stayed in town.
The closest was a condo rental on Boca Chica Key. Really looking forward to this!
Have reservations at the BW Hibiscus starting the Monday before. Plan to do the Dry Tortugas
boat trip on Tuesday, then... MOTM!!!

(Any suggestions on which of the Tortugas boats to take?)
Melli! Check
http://www.phip.com/motm/index.html for your answers.
Then, register and SHOW UP!!!

I'm very tempted to, but if I don't put hubby on a boat for at least one full
day I may get dumped there... HEY! Wait!!! Good idea!
(Seriously, if anyone has taken one of the boat trips out, please let me
know how it went.)

Key West Oct. 30th - Nov. 2nd. visit
http://www.phip.com for complete details. You need to be a member of a Parrot Head Club in order to register and attend some of the functions, but obviously anyone can come to Key West and have fun with fellow parrotheads.

Go to "Parrotheads in Paradise" web site. Click on MOTM (Meeting Of The Minds) and you will get ALL the info you need. You will have a most spectacular time. Get lazy, get crazy, get enough phun & parrot head memories to last until the next year. Jimmy showed up last year at Margaritaville & at the Street Party. Whoooooo Wheeeeeeeeee
Let me know if you go & we'll meet up.

Never done the Dry Tortugas, too much to do, too little time. I am not getting there until Wednesday early evening. I will be ready for drinks on Duvall St. for sure.

Been to KW a bunch of times before, but this will be the first MOTM for my wife and I. We can not wait. We are staying at the Casa Marina. Are there any BN get-togethers in the works? Any feedback from those who attended before?

I'll be heading to MOTM for my third year. It's an awesome time! You don't really have to be registered to get into most of the stuff, just some of it, but I would highly recommend it cause you get cool stuff to keep - and the money is for a good cause.
The Casa Marina is highly over rated. You can get nicer rooms elsewhere and better rates. Not all the functions are at the Casa, they are all over the island and the Casa is on the east side, not central.
As far as a scooter - the island is 2X4 (miles that is) so you don't necessarily need one. I would recommend a bike, or just walk, or take one of those cool little bike taxis - they're not too expensive. And, if you do decide to go rent a bike or scooter - make sure when they ask ya "what's that in your cup?" you don't say "it's a mimosa, or a bloody mary" just tell them it's soda. They won't rent to you otherwise!
