Do you ever hear Jimmy on the radio?
In Chicago, wckg's Steve Dahl is playing Jimmy's "Everybody's Talking" at the moment...
Dahl is primarily a drive time talk show, but he plays music on occasion, and I think Jimmy is on pretty regular rotation. (although to tell you the truth, I almost never listen to him.) He always gets Buffett tickets to give away.
Besides "5 O'Clock" burning up the country stations, are any other "j's" playing Buffett these days in your neck of the woods?

Yes!
Both WROR (105.7) and WZLX (100.7) in Boston play Buffett, especially in the summer months. I also just recently stumbled upon a station from the Cape 101.9 (Sorry I have no clue what the call letters are) that does as well, in fact they have a Buffett Buffet every Friday at 5:00 PM!

In Conn. WEBE 108 will play Buffett during the day but only Margaritaville.
So they do a three play request so I and other Parrottheads always have them play Margaritaville, Soutrhern Cross (CSN), and Brown Eyed Girl (Van Morrison) so it's almost like being at a concert, you would think the radio station would investigate why people always ask for those three to be played together, but that's the closest we can get to hearing more than Margaritaville.

Some times I feel like a propeller, spin, spin outtta control. I don't who is up on the throttle, boy I wish they would let it go....

As I was pulling off the ferry in Martha's Vineyard the week of July 4th I tuned to the local radio station, WMVY, and Nautical Wheelers came on! I knew it was more than good timing.
It happens to be an excellent radio station and think they do broadcast over the internet. It's worth a listen.

I've heard it a couple of times in the stores. Last week I was at the mall and his version of Brown Eyed Girl was playing. I've also heard his version of Mexico. When I was driving home from the Pittsburgh concert last year, a station was playing Bob Roberts Society Band. I thought that was pretty cool.

The River 105.9 based somewhere in CT. has a Buffett song every eve @ 5pm!!
They say something great like 'Parrotheads, kick back, put your feet up, get your Margarita ready and off to Paradise...'
And then, every Wed. from 5-6pm they play Buffett and give tix away for the Parrotthead Cruise on the Mark Twain down the Ct. River!!!!!
I mean how cool is that?!!!!
And it is always such a true Paradise Pleasure to happen to turn on the radio, and there's Buffett........!
Awesome Man!

WMMO (98.9) A light rock station in Orlando plays Jimmy's music quite a bit. Especially in the weeks before his concerts. Maybe because of Margaritaville and the large parrothead club in Orlando. Also, the light jazz station (103.1) plays some of his mellow stuff at night - I've heard Stars Fall on Alabama, Pacing the Cage and some others on that station. A real treat when he comes on the radio!!

I recently had to work in Hartford (read Hotfud), CT. They had a station called "The River" that played an hour of uninterupted music from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The last song, every weekday, was the "Parrot Head Paradise" song, a JB tune. While I was there I heard "Miss You So Badly", "No Woman, No Cry" (live version) and "Boat Drinks". That would get my vote for the most unexpected place to have GREAT JB music.

what I think is cool is how Jimmy crosses all of the lines radio stations usually draw. One day I heard him on an oldies station, a hard rock station, a country station, and then a soft rock (I was there by accident) station. All in the same day!
I mean, it was all Margaritaville, but hey, it's still cool
