Right next door to the venue in the parking lot of the River Downs Race Track, there is always plenty of partying. And, then directly across the street, there is an unpaved parking lot where there's always partying as well.
I've been to Cincy three times, and I've always gotten there farily late, so I'm not really sure about when everything starts, but I believe I remember hearing that most of the festivities start around noon. Can anyone else confirm this?
You picked a great venue for a first time concert. The stage backs up to the Ohio River, and there are always lots of boats pulling up behind the stage. The crowd there is wonderful, and Jimmy always seems to be a little more fired up there than anywhere else. If you have lawn seats, the only bad thing about that place is the poles coming down from the pavilion. There are more of them there than most other venues, and they have a way of blocking your vision. If you're on the grass, try to scout out a place away from the poles.

At Riverdowns I hear the best place to party is the parking lots closest to the horse barns. But the best place in general is the unpaved parking lot across the street from Riverbend.
In the past Jimmy has stopped across the street to say hi. This was usually early in the afternoon. I don't know if he made it over to the horse barn area or not. Does anybody know?
