Barely Buffett Related!!!

Post by grovercxl »

Since we're flying in for the Thurs. show in Chicago, we won't have room for too much Parrothead Paraphernalia... We were wondering if there is a good thrift shop where we might pick up some blankets, etc. that we will not miss when they get ruined on the lawn!!!

There's probably a Meijer or something around there. Well, Meijer's are huge up in Michigan, not sure if they're down there. There has to be something nearby though.

Probably not really gonna need a blanket at all, No need really, since you will be on your feet the entire time at the show.

Good point, but when I fall down, I don't want to get grass stains on my a**...

LOL----ya know what though---you probably will not be in the same exact spot for the entire show---people like to move around and dance on the lawn at the World. I dont think I have ever spent the entire time in once exact spot. Im getting more and more excited for the shows every day now

I know what you mean!!1 We saw him in Nashville earlier this year, and when I went to the crapper, I (of course) got lost coming back... Someone decided they should 'adopt' me since I couldn't find my crew.... In the middle of 20,000 screaming PHs my wife heard my big mouth and came to my rescue.... :o

there are probably places to find blankets and such right in Tinley. There are a lot of stores and such on the main drag. There is a Sam's club as well, if you're a member they have pretty good prices on Cornoa...a blanket is a decent idea if you plan to go in a little early to claim at least a starting spot on the lawn...I've never been on the lawn at Tinley but it looks like you're pretty packed in...I wouldn't take anything that I would miss...you could always just take a sheet from your bed at the Hotel

instead of a blanket pack an old beach towel that you won't miss if you feel you'll have to sit.

Here's a hint to help you find your crew in the sea of Parrotheads. We take a helium balloon (usually a shark, but whatever will stand out will work) on a long ribbon and use that to mark our spot - makes it real easy to find your way back from the bathroom, beer stand, etc.
