What is the best way to listen to Radio Margaritaville?

Post by Gypsy In The Palace »

I was switching back and forth between players during the Pittsburgh show (due in part to the fact that Windows Media Player was in and out all night long), and I can't really decide which one is best. What do you think?

Media player generally has better quality but Real Player is much more consistant with the feed.
Is it day?

I tend to like Media Player, but have been having some "issues" with it over the past 24 hours.

As a backup, I listen to the mp3 high stream.

Before I looked at the choices....I was gonna vote that the best way to listen to Radio Margaritaville was when you are drunk.....didn't realize this was a technical question! :pirate:

It seems that Real Player has better sound quality than Media Player. At least on my computer. I can't remember which one, but one of them plays about 1 minute behind the other. It seems you can hear the audience better on Real Player, and the bass comes out more. :pirate:

Tuesdays show was the only trouble I had on this tour so far with buffering on WMP.
Real Player is no longer bcasting the feed in the orginal stereo it had been. It loads faster but the audio quality dropped in the stereo feed. The mp3 feed is useless if you have broadband. I do hear a hollow sound in WMP but that can be fixed if you burn it and play the CD back by EQ'ing it.

Have fun Santa! It really helps with broadband. Stereo feeds in dial up buffer out more often, especially during peak hours.

Been trying it on WM and it is a lot clearer but drops out some. Realplayer seems to be more consistent but it sure is clearer on WM

I wish I knew what Moogy was talking about

With dial up, RP is best for me.
