Proper Tailgating Procedures

Post by Goodman »

Is it proper to be playing music other than JB, Bob Marley, Jerry Jeff Walker etc at a tailgate? I heard lots of non sanctioned music at the Holiday Inn/Tweeter Center venues.
I know Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Buffett is a friend of mine. Son, you're no Jimmy Buffett!

I'll have to agree with TCC. The whole reason I'm at a Buffett show is to hear Buffett. If I wanted to hear somebody else, I'd go to their show.
Today is the tomorrow you spent yesterday worrying about. Was it worth it?

well a couple of years ago at irvine, a car phul of young folks pulled in next to me and proceeded to play ......"rap"....eventually they left. i guess they saw a party going on and decided to hang out for a while.

for the most part, everybody knows why every body else is there.
therefore, why not play other music that is related to jimmy's?

There are plenty of things that can be problems/irritations at the tailgate. IMHO, playing rap or metal (Metallica, etc.) or the like ticks me off more than just about anything else. It just doesn't fit the whole vibe/purpose of the party. Again, IMHO.

100% agree. It's not the place for RAP or Metal, maybe some country music Buffett fans.
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.
