Seems Like Lots of Complaining

Post by Beach95 »

With the tour starting up again you would think that the board would be full of happy posts...meeting new friends, something special that night that Jimmy did that touched you, a nice moment with a significant other....seems like hardly the case here.

Lots of cranky posts:

Friends who didn't have fun in Pittsburgh???? Lots of puking....that's a fact of Buffett.

Smoking or no-smoking; stupid question. If your smoking was bothering someone, as a result that someone was bothering you. What is the answer? Stop smoking!!!! Action/Reaction.

Young Poor Behavior: If you haven't noticed, young people and adults behave very poorly in a number of places besides a Buffett show. Open your eyes......I just watched a woman in the grocery store (an adult) read every evening news paper on the stand for 30 minutes and drop them on the floor when she was done. Right in front of the manager.

Poor behavior by 30-40 year olds. That is expected. Probably the 1 of the 3-4 times they get out a year.

Should I bring the Keat? Should you bring a 4 month old child to a Buffett concert? I am not even going there...........

We want two shows in Cinci.....TOO BAD  You think it is hard to get decent tickets there, try living in Boston.

Maybe I will get my password revoked for this? Oh, well.......

It is what it is....if you don't like the behavior at the shows, or god forbid the price of tickets....STAY HOME!!!

And the same goes for me. If I don't like the posts, stay off the discussion board!!!!

very well said!!
Although sometimes coming here to vent or get an opinion on negative behavior is fine...I agree that a lot of people seem to be bitching just for the sake of something to say! Stop generlizing...there is good and bad behavior every where you go...try a Yankee game! (sorry Matt, just had to say that! )

Complaints

Post by mrsmcg »

Sitting here in front of a computer ... it's so easy to read the negatives and add a few of your own. But then: being at the magic that is a Jimmy Buffett concert ... singing, dancing .... whatever (within boundaries) and generally having such a "I love life attitude" ... what a difference! I know that there are the kids who just don't get it ... come to get drunk etc. That's a pity. But just go to your own safe harbor and enjoy life at a JB concert ... that's what it's all about.

 I am sorry and do apologize if you all got the wrong impression about my "puking in Pittsburgh" post. I love the Buffett concerts and know that when you attend you are taking your chances, and only looking for a good time. But I still don't want puked on, shoved to the ground, or find hot charcoal on my car trunk when the concert is over. Is that really so unreasonable and out of line?

No, I don't think you are unreasonable. Charcoal on the car is a little extreme. They smashed my brother's windows in 95 to get beer out of the back seat. He has never seen another show. Buys every CD, tees, hats, etc. Doesn't go back to GW's.

a**hole! :D :D I'm kidding. It's a free country feel free to vent whenever you feel the need. I gotta admit, it has been a little negative around here lately. Oh well, you live, you learn.

There's a good point............a lot of negativity surfacing as of late, but just wait 'til the pre-party begins. Everyone won't let their grievances alter their free-spirited attitude. I don't think my friends or I will have one complaint when we're loungin' in the parking lots, sippin' margys and beer, or screaming at Jimmy to play Migration at least 1 out of the 3 shows we're going to. And if he doesn't play a couple songs I'm dying to hear, I won't whine about it. My hat goes off to Bubba for giving his phans a chance to see him play 20 different shows(through Sept) this year, or at least listen to them live on RM. What other artist treats their phans so well?

be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
