Here's one from earlier tonight
We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

Did he really play "I Don't Know" from the FT@RH Soundtrack? He didn't even know the words to it a few years back for Stumpo El Bando!

Damn Jimmy, you're going make us buy all those CD's now.

How about a little "No Plane on Sunday" at Irvine.

Yes, he really played it. He said it was the first time ever in concert! :D

He played "Wind Cries Mary" because of the local connection, probably won't play it anywhere else. Plus a Johnny Cash song.

Maybe he is going to add something new and different each concert to make those DVD's unique!

Cash tune

Post by Jiff »

The Johny Cash song was not one of his well known ones. Quite a touching rendition by Jimmy and Mac sitting down with acoustic guitars. Looking through Cash song lyrics, I'm guessing it was I Still Miss Someone:

At my door the leaves are falling
A cold wild wind has come
Sweethearts walk by together
And I still miss someone

I go out on a party
And look for a little fun
But I find a darkened corner
because I still miss someone

Oh, no I never got over those blues eyes
I see them every where
I miss those arms that held me
When all the love was there

I wonder if she's sorry
For leavin' what we'd begun
There's someone for me somewhere
And I still miss someone

That is a really lovely song which Linda Ronstadt has covered as well as Johnny Cash. One of the things about our Jimmy is that he pays all due respect to the people whose music and lifestyles, values, etc. have influenced him.

So disappointed that the Seattle feed was a no-go. Stayed up till midnight on my coast for it to start!
