Camelback Telegraph

Written after the first few days of the war in Iraq, as we made our way up to Baghdad. I can't even begin to describe the stress level, and writing this helped tremendously.
Tuesday in the desert,
There's not much going on.
The bombing are all over,
They ended just past dawn.
The M16s are firing,
With the tales from late last night,
The fighting very heated
Showing the countries might.
You can hear'em on the camelback telegraph,
Cant keep nothing under their hat
You can hear them on the camelback telegraph
Running from this and that
Now I'm not one to deal in gossip,
But was Sadaam that big a fool
To take on the U.S. Army
And lose his entire rule
And what became of Sadaam
And his boys nobody knew
Did the CIA ever find them?
We'll kill them when they do
It's hump day in the desert
The Iraqi army has all gone dead
The republican guard is history,
Everything's been said
But when the stars and stripes flies on Friday
And the yanks break out the rum
And Baghdad begins to jumpin
You'll hear those hot lines hum
Chorus:
Put it on the camelback telegraph
All the celebration and the stress
Put it on the camelback telegraph
In twenty-five words or less
