Passin Banana Wind

Post by Goodman »

Been trying to reconnect with some of the old treasures and I'm not sure it's my advancing age of what but JB's got like no voice whatsoever on this tune.
Help me out here young Parrotheads, is he doggin it here or am I crazy? Why doesn't JB do this tune at the live shows?
I know Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Buffett is a friend of mine. Son, you're no Jimmy Buffett!

The Club Trini portion of the band does do it but they do it during the break. Sometimes a canned version of the song is played over video clips.

yeah i always saw this tune as a great way to start the second half of the show!kinda like on Live at the Bay with some of the band out playing and then having Jimmy return to the stage after a short break.

They did play it during intermission this year at the Camden show, along with a video of Jimmy fishing... it was nice to hear the song.

I have to agree with the others, I think it would be a great intro into the second set...

Although JIMMY doesn't sing any words on this, it IS fun to make up your own words to it. It really reminds me of "Sesame Street" for some reason to one night when we were camping and the wine was flowing, I made up lyrics to go to that tune all about Bert and Ernie and the gang. Yes, I am a silly Parrothead!
