well, while i was walking around mgm looking for the bn sign, i did spot a few bn'ers with the fancy name tags. lets see, daddymention and secrets in the crust come to mind. i spotted jr mint as he was getting back to his seat during the break.

the flashing mini lites were a nice idea, was that something the lvph club came up with?

We sold the flashing parrots and dolphins at Last Man Standing, it was pretty cool to see them flashing thoughout the concert.

LMS went very well!! we haven't done the final accounting yet, but we had over 400 in attendance and raised at least $5,000 for our charity. Everyone I talked to had a great time. Many thanks to all that attended!!!!

Oh the stories we could tell...........and I will. Here is a report on my trip to Vegas.
What a great time! We rolled in to town Friday around 11:00am and had to wait around for a while to check in to the Key Largo. I met Eric "The Whaleshark" Pietsch and talked with him for a while. He is a hell of a nice guy. The guys hung around the hotel while we sent the women out shopping. It was a good move to let them get that out of their system early. By the time they got back, we had checked into our rooms and had a big headstart on the coctails. We then headed over to Tommy Rocker's. A big Fins Up! is in order for those who helped put that party on. The weather was perfect. Jerry Gontag, Eric, and The Fiesta Brother (that's right, we lost a brother to the Flu), Tommy Rocker and Conched Out were Fabulous. Thanks to the Las Vegas Parrothead Club for a great time! Dean and Honey Do, this means you! As some of you may have experienced, getting a cab after the party at Tommy's takes a long time. Luckily my wife volunteered to be the driver so we took our own car. Near the back of line for the cabs was FINSUPinIdaho. He came along with us and we had a fun ride back to the Hotels. Idaho was missing Phunminnie who had to take an unexpected trip back to her Hotel room a little early. A great piece of advice we all should follow, "Don't peak too early". Oh wait, who am I too give out advice (See later in the story).
The next morning the poolside party at the Key Largo got going at around 11:00am, and this was again a great party. Jerry Gontag performed nonstop for about 4 hours. Eric played a few songs, another guy who was pretty good (sorry forgot the name), and as I was leaving for the MGM party I could hear the Fiesta Brother again. The Gumbo Sluts were back with a vengance, and there was quite of few of us from here at Buffettnews.com. A few that I know were FINSUPinIdaho, PhunMinnie, Honey Do, Pirate Parrot, and Cowboy In The Jungle. I am sure there was more.
Then at around 5:00pm we headed over to the MGM for the pre-party. Wow that thing gets bigger each time. The party was going full force when we showed up. We made our way to the front of the stage where we found our Buffettnews phriends. Idaho and his Bandalero of Booze was making sure that everyone had a good time. We danced, drank and prepared ourselves to see the man.
As time for the concert neared, we decided to head back to our car where we had a few Corona's stashed in the cooler. I pounded 3 of them and another while walking to the entrance of the concert. Big mistake! This was on top of a whole day of coctails. Too much too fast. Remember what I said, "Don't peak too early". That's when I first saw the bear. Oh wait, wrong story. Anyway I was good for the first half of the show, but then just after intermission, I did the unthinkable, I puked in my pirate hat :( . I then had to watch the rest of the show between the doorway and the bathroom. Major Bummer!!!! I have now seen the dark side of a Buffett concert. And it is not good. As I wandered back and forth from the bathroom to the door way to watch little pieces of the show. I saw at least three girls who were in very bad shape. They were all being hauled out in wheelchairs and could not even hold up their heads. I am afraid they were hospital bound. I hope they ended up OK. After the show, I was still not feeling too good so my Brother In Law cruised me back to the Hotel. I was really looking forward to hanging out at Ricardo's after. I heard I missed a good time. I get a kick out of the Broken English Buffett tunes from the "Mexican Mullet" band at Ricardo's. I understand they actually cut the mullet's off this time. :o I heard that Idaho took the mic and sand some tunes :D . That's awesome!
Sunday morning I was feeling good again and we wandered around the strip for a while. We finally rolled home (just north of Salt Lake) at around 11:30pm last night. I needed another day! Next time I think we will stay over Sunday night too. Ohhhhhhhhh it sucks to be back at work.

Thanks again to everyone for a great time as always. Let's do it again!!!

What a show!!! Sounds like everyone had a great time in Vegas as did our group....and luckily no one in our group peaked too soon! I must admit there is nothing funnier than a parrothead in full attire playing poker! Anyway wanted to share this quick story.....we were in section L217 (side stage) and the section next to us was covered....well that didnt last too long. A couple of people starting sitting in the covered section which brought the attention of the usher who didnt like them there, but as soon as the usher left a swarm of parrotheads rushed to remove the cover and took over the section completely. The usher came back shook his head at all the dancing parrotheads and turned around and left! Parrotheads win!!!

I got some good shots tho, hope I can sneek the camera in at Coors and Irvine also. Vegas was great as usual. Excellent buffet at the Rio, the preparty at MGM was ablast, and I wound up breaking even at the tables. Let's do it again in 4 months, all right?

be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

Thanks Bob - glad you had a blast. I'm just so bummed I couldn't get the darn sign to MGM and Key Largo pool, but thanks to 7lords we had those cool name tags!

If you all ask phunminnie nicely, she may explain her whereabouts friday evening, along with telling you Pirate Parrots NEW nickname! I think phunminnie and FinsUpIdaho are still in recovery from that VERY EARLY morning flight sunday! :(

hey parrothead bob. i'm from utah too. i was singing with finsupidaho. well sorta singing, he knew the words, i was drunk and just trying to fit in. i feel your pain with the vomiting. i had a lil trouble around 6:00pm. however, by 8:30 i got my 2nd wind and was going strong. i'd like to thank all the supportive parrotheads who cheered me on as i tried to regain my senses and what not. i dont know what you look like parrothead bob, but i was the emaciated asian guy with the shark and beer bong hat. i was hanging out with the gal who had the ken and barbie doggy style hat. anyone out there that saw me and my lil friend, you should say hi. always like to try to make new parrot head friends

I have to say that was a PHantastic concert on Saturday. I hadn't seem him in 2 years, so it was nice to be back in the action again. We went w/ no tickets & ended up getting some freebies thanks to a wonderful casino on the strip. I brought a virgin to the show, I think i may have converted her

Sorry about all of those that peaked too early, that doesn't sound like much phun at all. I myself tried to be a good girl all day so that I could enjoy the show a lil more than the last time (extremely hungover & operating on 2 hours of sleep). Speaking of sleep, last night I had the best dream. I was at a Buffett show & got a chance to buy JB a Corona and hang out with hime for awhile. Hopefully one of these days I'll have a bout of deja'vu & it will happen in real life!
there's a thin line between Saturday night & Sunday morning..........

Aloha.
OMG. What a Fantastic time we had in Vegas. So much great energy. I still don't have my voice back 100%. I meet some of BNs peeps.
Gave away 20 Virgin Scavenger hunt list at the MGM pre party. Dang what an awesome time.

Now it's on to Irvine.

And it looks like I will be Hawaii bound in Jan.

I remember you guys from up near the front of the pre-show with Conched Out. Too bad I missed Ricardo's. My wife says she may have took a picture of you guys singing at Ricardo's. I will see what there is tonite and try to get them posted.
I think most of our pictures we took on the regular film camera, but I know that we took a few on the digital.
