Parrotheads in Paradise Inc. is saddened by the passing of Jimmy Buffett's Mom Mary Loraine (Peets). Peetsie passed away at 10pm last night (Thursday). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to her scholarships, info to follow.
We have all been touched by Jimmy's music and as is with all sons and daughters, they have been touched and influenced by their Moms and Dads... In essance we have all been touched by Peetsie through Jimmy's love of his family and through his music. It is a sad day in the Parrot Head Nation and we are all praying for the Buffett Family.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Jimmy's Mom's passing. Though I've never actually met him, I consider Jimmy a dear friend and would like to extend my sympathy and prayers to his family during this difficult time.

Peet's passing
We are all saddened to hear of the passing of Jimmy's Mom. Our prayers go out to The Buffett family. In all the many times I've seen Bubba on stage I cannot remember a time, he hasn't mentioned his mom. Now she's watching all of us from her beach house on the moon.

sorry for your loss jimmy....allthough we've never met, i am saddened by your loss.....you have given my family so much to smile about with your music and lifestyle i feel as if i have lost someone close to me. hopefully your mom is now with your dad smiling down on your family and looking over you as you travel on and upward in your life. thanx for all you have given us, Godspeed Mrs. Buffett, rest is peace. -

Our Prayers & Thoughts
I am so glad that Jimmy made it home to be with his momma. This was the only place he should have been last night - I remember Jimmy talking to her at her birthday party and teasing her about coming to visit him when he was in college. I am sure she was so proud of him and I am glad he could be with her at the end.
Although we missed him at Shoreline, we were with him in thoughts and prayers last night.
To Mrs. Buffett, we wish you fair winds and following seas from the Parrotheads in Livermore!

I am truly saddened by the passing of Jimmy's mother. I have found peace and happiness in Jimmy's music for years, most recently in the passing of my grandmother a month and a half ago. I was able to make his Cincinnati show on the August 26th and for the first time in weeks I can remember myself smiling. I hope there is something or someone out there for Jimmy and his family in his time of need as he as been there for me for the years..…

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jimmy and his family. His music was there for me during a divorce and the passing of my father. I hope that he reads some of these thoughts and they help him in these sad times. He has brought so much to so many, we can only hope to give some back to him.
