What the hell is going on in Chicago?? 7-5 Marlins in the middle of the 6th. This sucks!! How lame will a Sox vs. Marlins World Series be?? C'mon Cubbies!!! Get it done!!!
I wonder if anyone besides the actual players of the Florida Marlins actually really care if they advance to the World Series or not. I don't think anyone does...
Seriously, has even one person in this thread or in the
"Anything and Everything Baseball" thread even mentioned anything about the Marlins winning??

we are all set putting money on the yankees tomorrow when i hit vegas which will guarentee a win for the sox

I actually pretended to root for the Yankees last night...figuring my team doesn't win in clutch situations...maybe it wokred???

Kitty, us Bostonians are always eternal pessimistics when it comes to the Sox, that's what makes us diehard Sox fans... BUT WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH, just for good measure I was at St Francis at 7:00 am this morning

Was I the only Sox fan rooting for the South Florida team last night? I'm always thinking in favor of the Sox and their chances (God willing) are much better playing the Marlins than the Cubs. Who cares about the greatest World Series match up of all time, I want the Sox to have the best possible chance of winning... end of story. Plus it will be easier to get tix in South Florida (again God willing).

Hopefully, tonight will stay focused on BASEBALL, and not the idiocy that went on on Saturday...... If so, it should be a classic game!

I wish I could trade barbs with guys all day, but I'm out of the office most of the day then off to the game.

That was the best part. I also loved the noise the crowd made when Nixon went to the third deck in the ninth. It sounded like a tire with a slow leak!

That's what we thought as Cubs fans when the Marlins beat the Giants.
They don't quit, that's for sure!
I will refrain from rooting for a team tonight so as not to jinx them. Good luck!

I feel that who ever wins tonights game wins the world series. marlins are pesky team but not in the same class talent wise as Boston and NY.
