I would have to agree with that. What a game it shall be tonight. And I'll get to see almost all of it (Class at 5, end around 7-7:30)

. Go Sox

I wonder if anyone besides the actual players of the Florida Marlins actually really care if they advance to the World Series or not. I don't think anyone does...

Seriously, has even one person in this thread or in the
"Anything and Everything Baseball" thread even mentioned anything about the Marlins winning??

Was I the only Sox fan rooting for the South Florida team last night? I'm always thinking in favor of the Sox and their chances (God willing) are much better playing the Marlins than the Cubs. Who cares about the greatest World Series match up of all time, I want the Sox to have the best possible chance of winning... end of story. Plus it will be easier to get tix in South Florida (again God willing).
Adam...I was saying the same thing in the Bar last night.

Cuz this is the year
to end our bad luck,

On V-tek, on Walker, Ortiz, and Millah
Carry this team and end this damned curse

defibrillator - check; Zoloft-check; tequila-check; mojo from phriends & coworkers-check;
The Red Sox Will win chanted in an Indian shaman's smoke house 10,000 times on my lunch break-check
The Red Sox beating the Yankees & moving on to the world series......
Priceless
I'm not that superstitious but last night wore me OUT!
I was pacing, hat on is good luck, no wait NY got a hit, ok hat off, hold breath, stand up, sit down, can't stand it, go out & sun room & listen, chant GO Boston, Go Boston.., run back in, Boston's up, do the Cowboy up forearm thing with daughter, explain innings concept to her - she is wide eyed & says ohhhh just like kickball; make a drink, sit down, pace, hat back on, finish drink, cowboy up again with daughter, got her yelling GO BOSTON.....
ahhh, OK, on to the 2nd inning

Water main break could delay fans
MLB.com
WorldSeries.com
A water main break in the Washington Heights section of upper Manhattan forced the closing of the lower level of the George Washington Bridge, meaning fans traveling from New Jersey over the span should expect considerable delays traveling to Yankee Stadium for Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, which is scheduled to begin at 8 ET tonight.
Newsday reported that the break happened at 1:50 p.m. this afteroon on Amsterdam Avenue and 179th Street, said a spokesman for the city's Department of Transportation.
Water waist-deep and higher covered Amsterdam Avenue and side streets in that area. Police using rubber boats could be seen on television news reports surveying the flooding.
According to Newsday, the Department of Transportation said that the lower level of the George Washington Bridge had been closed and traffic was being routed to the upper level. The 179th Street entrance and exit on the Harlem River Drive were closed, as was the 155th Street entrance. The westbound Cross Bronx Expressway was jammed to the New England Thruway and the Harlem River Drive was at a standstill.
Subways were not experiencing any delays, the newspaper reported, and may be the best way for fans to get to the Stadium for tonight's game.
This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.
