Last Orange in Flordia

I wrote this for my aunt a long time ago so excuse the stupid verses. You kind of have to know us to understand it.
I went down to Dave and Kathy's
To get out of the heat
I heard a voice call out to me Niece come have a seat.
I had to search my memories as I looked into her eyes
Our lives changed like El Nino but a legend never dies
She said I ate the last orange in Florida
Took the last plane out of Ohio
Took the first fast boat to Tampa
and Betty there’s still so much to be done
I had a Phoebe cat in Ohio
With a rabbit foot in each paw
She always kept me happy as
We move from room to room
I had a paper route on coleman
With my high fashioned rubber bands
Woke up driving beneath the Atlanta sky
Just me and Aunt Peg
I ate the last orange in Florida
Took the last plane out of Ohio
Took the first fast boat to Tampa
And Betty there’s still so much to be done
We shot the breeze for ours as
The sun fell from the sky
And like the wind he disappeared
Before my very eyes
It was somewhere past 10:30
And I went back to my room
I read upon my wooden walls
The words my aunt had said
I ate the last Orange in Florida
Took the last plane out of Ohio
Took the first fast boat to Tampa
and Betty there’s still so much to be done.
That’s why we wonder and follow la vie dansante
