Good News For Windows Users....iTunes available tomorrow!
iTunes to Make Windows Debut October 16

"The year's biggest music story is about to get even bigger," reads an
invitation sent by Apple to leading reporters and industry analysts.
One week before it launches Mac OS X version 10.3, code-named Panther, Apple
will officially unveil iTunes for the Windows platform - bringing the
company's music store http://www.betanews.com/article.php3?sid=1051563123
to an immense new market of PC users.
An event will be held in San Francisco at 10am on October 16 to herald in
the new Windows service.
Earlier this year, Apple began recruiting developers
http://www.betanews.com/article.php3?sid=1051741300 for iTunes for
Windows, confirming rumors that the software would be ported to Microsoft's
ubiquitous operating system. Apple CEO Steve Jobs previously said the
company planned to bring the iTunes Music Store to Windows by the end of
2003.
But Apple will face a wealth of competition when it begins courting Windows
customers. Roxio recently launched a beta version of its Napster 2.0 music
service http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail.php3?fid=942645148, and
MusicMatch http://musicmatch.com/download/music_intro.htm began offering
99-cent downloads in an attempt to mirror the success of iTunes.
The iTunes Music Store sold its ten millionth song
http://www.betanews.com/article.php3?sid=1063073967 in September and
averages over 500,000 paid downloads per week.

ok, is there any advantages in listeing to it in mp3 high? I mean like is there better quality? I got the Vegas Show, and Auburn. I hope that they decided to release more shows on here, this is great. the quality sounds awsome. there is two down sides to itunes and its not very big. It cant read wma's I have about 6 gigs of wmas on my computer (most of them buffett cds that i imported) but i had to go and reimport all of my cds otherwise itunes wouldnt pick it up. But itunes is IDENTICALE to the version for mac. I am on a mac right now at school using one. there are no difference that i notice. the other downlside is not a big deal. but for some reason when i import a cd it gives the right names to the tracks and the cd folder it creats but it does not download alum art. That is one thing that i love with windows media player. You just go to go onto the internet find the picture save it then set it as teh album you want. Not hard just alot of extra time. But i love this program! Itunes for windows is awsome!
Also did anyone notice that the downloads were incredibly slow yesterday i took about 7 mins. for one song. I am hoping that this is just because oof all the new windows users and temp. I havent tried it today yet.

i bet that they will get so many more sales now that itunes is out for windows. So many more people will download the buffett concerts. Or at least i hope so, so they decide to keep going with it. I an hopeing that a lot of next year shows will become avilable on there because it would be so awsome to be able to go to a concert then go and buy it from itunes.
