Which Buffett Song is "Your Song"

Post by Tiki Bar »

Most of us are probably "living my life like a song"... but which one?

There are lots of great lines in lots of great songs, and some of them we can only dream about! But which song makes you think "that is so me" everytime you hear it?

For me, "Last Man Standing" hits close to home! Bring on a little bit more!
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave

Pirate looks at 40. Not quite there in years, but every time I hear "Yes I am a pirate..." I think to myself I was born to plunder!

There is no one song that I could name that fits me exactly. However there are many many songs that have something in them that I can relate to so well. The few that come to mind imediatly are (in no particular order)

Margaritaville
Come Monday
Pirate Looks at 40
Slow Boat to China
Bananna Republics
Last Mango in Paris

There are more but I think you get the idea.

It's ironic for me........I can relate to just about every song but the one that I consider (and have since I've heard it) is Survive. When I hear it, I'll cry if it's a bad time in my life, and sing with gusto when life in my fishbowl is great!!!!

"I Love The Now" would probably be the song that best describes me.

Until the FSOTW CD came out, it was A Pirate Looks at 40.

Now, it's Tonight I Just Need My Guitar, with Creola as a strong second.

At the current moment it is Growing older but not Up! Turning 34 was tough on me this year. I already told the MRs. that when I die play Tin Cup Chalice at my funeral and again when you spread my ashes on the black sand beach on Hana Maui Hawaii.

If It All Falls Down...no contest, this song was written for me about me!

Even though things are going awesome in my life I can't help but think that when things start going bad ( and they eventually will ) that....

"I have had my fun and have bought a few rounds", that
"I can strum real hard I can play real loud", and that
"I can charm a crowd till they all fall down!!!"

Thanks for the thread!
GO U of L CARDS!!

GO BRONCOS!!
