I think someone should put up Jimmy's Margaritaville Myrtle Beach opening in the important dates on the news page. Vegas should not be the only opening being noted. Both dates are equally important. So here it is: Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Myrtle Beach is opening up at the Broadway at The Beach complex in Myrtle Beach in Summer 2004.

Did you also see in Events that Jimmy's new book is due out!
I'm surprised you missed it...it's been on there since August, 2002!!!!!!

anyone have a more exact date than just summer 2004 for the opening? I am planning my vacation in MB this summer, as usual and would love to plan it to coincide with the opening

My local newspaper (Florence, SC) had an article with a tentative date sometime in August 2004 but seeing as construction hasn't even started, it's probably pretty hard to guessimate. There was a map showing it's proposed location and it looked to me that they may be doing a remodel of the old Butterfly Pavilion exhibit that closed down last year at Broadway at the Beach....also, FYI....sounds like Margaritaville is going to be a part of a whole tropical themed area of Broadway at the Beach.
