"Just a Little Lovin'" by Shelby Lynne (incredible tribute to Dusty Springfield)

Both excellent albums.

I saw Shelby at a small club here in NYC back in November, probably 250-300 people. Just A Little Lovin' hadn't been released yet but she previewed the entire album. What a show.

We caught Shelby at a small venue in Dallas in April. She puts on such a great show and her band is incredible. Larry, you probably didn't notice but she's not too hard to look at either.

We watched it tonite. It was a Father's Day present from my daughter.

Just came off a busy stretch of four 12 hour nite shifts. Had a cheeseburger and a couple of margaritas and enjoyed trying to identify all my BN PHriends in the video.

Record Store Day came twice this year, back in April and again today. It's a way to help boost sales at independent record stores nationwide by offering rare, limited edition vinyl (and sometimes CDs). It wasn't too crowded at my local record store today but I still missed out on the U2 EP and totally blanked on singles from Dylan and Two Cow Garage (unless they were also sold out before I arrived).
