Haven't bought any CD/DVD lately but I'm SERIOUSLY considering getting that Beatles box set on iTunes (I know it's 150 dollars and I already have Sargent Peppers)
I had intended to pick up Pearl Jam's new one, Live on Ten Legs today as well but it was nowhere to be found. Did anyone else have any trouble locating a copy? I know when they did that promotion with Target last year for Backspacer (that was supposed to come out on a Sunday) that it was nowhere to be found either. Perhaps it has to do with them trying to operate their own record label (Monkeywrench Records), who knows.
I usually pass on these sort of packagings of previously released material, particularly when they don't appear to be authorized releases but after doing a little research on this one, I picked it up. What got my interest were several songs from a now out of print live album. I already own the rest of the songs on the record but at only $7.99 for the entire CD it was definitely worth the investment. I just wish they'd release that old live record on CD at long last.
Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
Had tickets to see him perform last week....but he was sick. First time EVER he's canceled a show. In a way, I'm glad...it will give me time to really digest this one before it's re-scheduled!

The Borders going out of business sale continues. These were already marked down so it was especially hard to pass 'em up. Plus, I have a tremendous soft spot for both Tres Hombres and Fandango. Tres Hombres has to be among the first 2 or 3 records I ever owned along with Alice Cooper's Killer and We're An American Band from Grand Funk Railroad.
Schoolkids Records had a sale on used CDs over the weekend, which included the new one from Lucinda. The copy I have is a promo version of the deluxe edition and has a different cover than the one depicted above. I'm aware that there are as many as eight different covers for this record but the one I have isn't even available on Amazon, probably because of the promo aspect.
