BOTH my systems failed! and my back up (parent) taped CMT not CBS.

I wasn't going to be home until at least 8:30 so I planned in triplicate.

Oh well! If anybody has a copy and a plan I would be willing to get a Video copy of the first half-hour.

thanks :)

Trust me, i'm with you on that. I (like a fool) told work i'd come in tonight, thinking my VCR would work... WRONG And my neighbors didn't have the know-how to set it up... oh well, so ditto on that request

I recorded Jimmy and Alan's performance and also the acceptance speech onto my computer. Unfortunately they are both really big. If anybody knows a good AVI to MPEG converter that will compress down quite a bit, let me know and I'll see if I can make them available. Thanks

I'm in the same boat w/ y'all. Hubby was SUPPOSED to record the show for me on the VCR b/c I couldn't be home to watch it. Is this cliche or what??? My contractor/mechanic/jack of all trades husbands coulnd't figure out how to record on the VCR.

I was at my daughters basketball game at 8:00 but I did manage to learn how to program the vcr before I left and it did work so I did get it. but I only taped till 10:00 and wasn't home until 10:30. I was just wondering if he performed again or not?

No, he didn't perform again. There were some shots of JB sitting with Jane and AJ and his wife as the camera panned the audience. I've never seen Jimmy wear coke bottle glasses before.

Hey CNF I found a pic on the internet with him wearing them at some NY event with his wife earlier this year.

Mornin' Rick, he did look pretty strange in that get-up. I saw him a few years ago in the audience wearing a tux, had to do a double-take on that one.

How big are the files? I have them opn my TiVO but it's a pain to get them to my computer. What type of connection do you have - maybe you could transfer them to me and I could convert them. You have a PM.

What's the deal with the recording difficulties? I too set the vcr, and a verse into the song realized it wasn't recording! Fortunately I was there to just hit record on the fly, watched the song, and headed out the door. Even without Alan's beginning of the song, I managed to get the stuff that counted... Jimmy singing, and the award presentation!

But on a positive note, didn't I read somewhere that CBS would be selling tapes or DVD's of the show? I don't know if you want the whole thing, but Alan's acceptance at the end for Entertainer of the Year was brilliant!
