Vegas CD question

Post by botdrnk »

First off, WELL DONE JIMMY! Aside from us Parrotheads, I wonder how many people that don't know so much about him were saying "he's a lot shorter than I thought he was."

Live In Las Vegas question: Is that Mac singing as "Floyd" on 5 O'Clock? I know there was some sort of "I'm on strike" joke, but was it really Mac?

Question of the day: How many cowboy hats will we see at next year's summer tour?

Have a splendid weekend my phriends, and again, well done Jimmy (boy you've got a good lookin' wife!)!

"Floyd" and Mac were two different people, both on stage at the same time. Mac was in his usual spot on stage. When Jimmy introduced Floyd, out came just some guy wearing an oversized mask of Jimmy in a cowboy hat (a la White Sport Coat--does bear a certain resemblance to Alan Jackson) and carrying a guitar. He proceeded to stand on stage playing guitar during the song. However, he wasn't plugged in and it was obvious that the guitar was just a prop--he wasn't really playing along with the song.

My hunch is that someone with Jimmy's crew spotted the guy with the mask and Jimmy decided they could have some fun with it. But that's just a guess on my part. Hopefully, someone out there knows "the rest of the story."

Ah, good to know. I haven't gotten the live ones yet, so I appreciate the info.
