Vanessa.. you know there are live CD's from the Auburn, Vegas and other shows available right ? PLUS, you really should check out You Had to Be There a two disc set recorded live in Atlanta in the 70's AND you do know about Feeding Frenzy a live 80's recording.. right ?

Although TTS is a great Cd, i personally prefer these full length concerts he has out now, would MUCH rather have one full uncut concert then blurs from a tour

In my opinion, that's the worse live cd. There's 15 songs and 12 of them he plays every night every tour. Plus it doesn't even come close to the BHOTM set lists, which part of that reason is because some songs were recorded in '98. YHTBT has all the songs he did each show in '78, just in a diffferent order which makes it much better. Also the new live cd's are good to.

It has it's good moments.. "Tryin to reason" um.. and hmm.. ok if nothing else it takes you back to the standard Buffett concert which draws the BIG SYKBH crowd..

The Version of "Tin cup Chalice" is great, it's the only song i listen to off of it.

TTS was great for me cause I just started listening to Buffett right before it came out. It was the second CD I bought, after SYKBH. But I don't really listen to it anymore, except to occasionally here Tryin to Reason, Southern Cross, OPH, Tin Cup, and Love and Luck (awesome version on that CD).

The version of Tin Cup Chalice is the best reason to buy the Cd. He should def start that up on regular rotation on tour.

Yeah but that version has a nice Harmonica solo that would be missed very bad, but i do think Doyle could do a solo and it still sound good.

i just wish that he would release some concerts from past years. its great that he is doing this with the releases. i told myself i was only going to buy the cincinnati one because i have lived there all my life (pathetic), but i ended up gett all of them. the only thing is , is that the setlists are so similar with few minor changes here and there. it would be great to get some from past tours as well.

It's one of my favorite live cd's, along with "Live at Mansfield."

It's definatly one of my favorites also.
Tin Cup does sound super and I would say as a whole, all the songs seem to have a bigger sound to me. It just sounds bigger to me..if that makes any sense

I agree Shortboy. That album has a much nicer and fuller sound than any of the other lives albums in my opinion. It's actually the live cd I listen to the most. I love the versions of 'Trying to Reason...', 'Tin Cup Chalice', 'OPH' and 'Love and Luck'.
I own 'You Had to be There', 'Feeding Frenzy' and 'Fenway' and I prefer 'Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays' over any of those. I can't get into the 'Fenway' cd at all. It's just missing something for me. Maybe I'll go for the Hawaii cd next.

The fuller sound is exactly the reason that I do not like it as much as other 2 live albums. Blame the horns, some like em, I don't.
Just compare OPH and see for yourself. Also hate the way that OPH starts compared to the Feeding Frenzy version.
But don't get me wrong, I like the album

I have this CD and like it very much. I agree that some of the songs found on this CD are no longer on the play list, which I find sad. Just recently picked up the Finway Park CD, and feel while this is a good CD it's not as good as TTS. I'd like to see those songs on TTS find their way back on the standard rotation.

It's a good listen if you want a single disk live show. It's worth it for Tin Cup Chalice. He really needs to make that a regular at his shows.
