Do you have one?
OK this is a dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway because I just can't help myself. Does anyone have an all time favorite Buffett song? I can't even answer this one myself. Everytime I think this is my favorite, I hear another one and think,no this is my favorite.

Actually, I DO! It's between two, which sounds contradictory, but there is a reason. One is "Banana Wind". I absolutely love the song. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. But it lacks Jimmy's lyrics which tend to take me away when I need it. So, because of that, my (other) favorite song is "The Weather Is Here..." It's the most classic example of escapism I know of, and for that, it is my all-time favorite Buffett song.phtnt wrote:OK this is a dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway because I just can't help myself. Good response to a question with no answer. I'm not sure why I even asked. Like I said, dumb question, but it does make you thinkrickcrystal wrote:the other day it was changes in latitudes, yesterday it was farside of the world, today it was tryin to reason w. hurricane season, tomorrow will probably be someday i will or one particular harbor. it has been changing a lot.

My all time favorite is Come Monday. I have to admit, it may be because I have loved it for so long. In concert, there is nothing like One Particular Harbor...
I'm still waiting for that perfect love song from Jimmy. Nautical Wheelers and Come to the Moon are the closest I have.

My favorite JB song seems to change from week to week. But when I really think about it, Boat Drinks always seems to be the one that gets me in a great mood. So, although I usually have a "Song of the Week", Boat Drinks is probably my fav.

Tim, I was really afraid to click on a thread by you with a title like that!phtnt wrote:Do you have one?

One Particular Harbor (on Feeding Frenzy). Nothing gets my blood pumping more than those steel drums at the end and Nadira's voice. Jimmy's lyrics just sum it all up at the beginning and bring it home. This song will lift your spirits even on the most down days, and just pump you up when you wanna let lose and have fun.

"The sound of the weather is Heaven's ragtime band."

A favorite? I have lots, but really not just one. For the past year, Cowboy In The Jungle, School Boy Heart, early long time favorite Banana Republic. This is the problem when you start naming them, Last Mango, then Pacagoula Run.............................it never ends. A good problem to have. Thank you Jimmy.

couldn't agree with you more nw, i possibly think it may be one of his most "pumping up" (for lack of better words) song he has....NanaWind wrote:Actually, I DO! I hope that all the greedy bastards in the world
Come back as lobsters.
You know that life at the bottom of the food chain
Suits them well.
I think that all of the evil people of the world
Come back as horseflies,
They want one last bite before they're sent to hell.
