Parrothead tattoos
Hi all I need some help, I want to get another tattoo and I think some kind of ph tat would be best but I'm looking for some ideas. Looking to put it on my arm or back shoulder, I've been a parrothead for almost 20 years now and this is what I want. Any ideas?

I am also interested in Buffett style tattoos. I am having a couple artists draw up some this week. I cant wait to see what they come up with.
I have also added a Parrothead tattoo section to the gallery on my website. If you have any pictures that you would like to add let me know.

I have 3 tattoos that are buffettesque. I have a parrothead on my right hip (not on my arse!!). I have a shark with the words "fins to the left" on top and "fins to the left" on bottom on the left side of my lower tummy. Talk about hurtin' like hell!!!! I have one on my lower back of an island. A palm tree, sand dunes, the ocean with a sailboat on it. The one on my back didn't compare at all with the pain of the one on my tummy!!! Holy crap that one hurt. I was standing outside the tattoo parlor and thinking "is having 3 tattoos too much?" I kind of got hooked on the whole tattoo thing. In January I'm getting a pirate hat and the words "A pirate looks at 40" around the parrot head. I turn 40 in March. I found a new hobby for awhile but, it is time to quit!!!

The addiction was explained to me by 'my artist'. He said the body releases a huge amount of endorphins (sp) during the tattooing process. It's sort of the body's way of coping with the consistent pain. These endorphins stay in your body for several days after the tattoo and make you feel really good......now, bear in mind, this explanation came from a kid with blue hair, multiple piercings and listens to a death metal band called "Cannibal Corpse".....but man, what an artist!!mrmiata wrote:One can *easily* get addicted to tattoos. I have been thinking of what I'm going to get for a long time now - but I finally figured it out.
We went out for lunch one day at work and the sportsbar we were at had the Corona neon sign - a parrot on the right, with a wave, a palm tree and the sun (minus the word Corona)
I'll probably get it on my foot - before Buffett next summer!

I'm getting the itch for another one & it'll be Buffett related, just undecided..
maybe a parrott or lizard on my shoulder??
I also thought about getting a 4 leaf clover on my butt cheak just for S's & G's then I'd be a lucky (_._)
My only tat I have now is the cover of an Eagles album, one of these nights- with the steer skull & feathers..
I got it in Italy from the owner of a Harley Davidson dealership who did tats as a hobby, I gave him a bottle of Jack for it
I have a shot of him doing it somewhere, I'll have to scan it
