Jimmy Performs in Key West

There was a special apperance by Jimmy at Margaritaville in Key West on 12/5/2003. Jimmy was in Key West this week recording his new album Conchy Tonk:

(mentioned recording the new album this week)
Hey Hey Good Lookin' (Jimmy)
Dixie Chicken (Jimmy & Others)
Scarlett Bogonia (Jimmy) -a sample from the 17 plus tracks recorded this week)

People who were there....Billy Payne , Sonny Landreth, Will Kimbrough,
Mac Mac, Roger and Ralph also from Jonathan's band I heard Mark laying
drums after Roger left. Jimmy mentioned Roger being the "moody drummer"

I too would love a copy if anyone recorded this show. Let me know if you did and I'd be happy to send a blank disc and money for postage to get a copy. Please Please Please lete me know if you got it.....this set list looks awesome and I gotta get it for my collection!

I wish I was there!! But then My best friend Kim left this morning for FL!! The Email I got this morning was!! I will be thinking of you while I am in Margaritaville drinking a Margarita while you are getting TWO FEET OF SNOW back in NH!!! I hope she gets to see alot of what is going on down there.. But I wish I was there !!!

Yeah...His voice wasn't in good form. Kinda sounded like someone on a bad kareoke night. I'm sure if I had been there I would have been drunk, and it would've sounded great.

OH MY GOD......thats really BAD!

Sounds like a combo of things.
A- He recorded ALOT of songs that day
B- He has a cold
C- He's really DRUNK
D- He is on drugs I've never even heard of!

LOL!

Man I bet he felt horrible the next day.

How could his peeps let this happen....where is Ramos?

I actually dig the sloppy shows... like the one last year on Halloween. I mean, I can see Jimmy put on the professional show anytime of the year, but how often do you get to see Jimmy shitfaced and forgetting chord progressions? It may not be pretty, but it's a lot more interesting and exciting than the "big" show - it's Jimmy cutting loose and cussing and just having a ball with the crowd.

May not make the best recording, but then, that's why it's called "live" music.

I would love to hear that recording! One of my favorite recordings is the live at the Exit Inn recording. Same thing. Jimmy was very "happy" and even though it was a benefit and he wasn't supposed to swear he kept "forgetting"
I'm sorry I missed the key west show. I bet it was a hoot!
