It's my favorite CD. Mostly slow and you can tell it was done while he was going through the divorce of his first wife. Ragtop Day seems very out-of-place on the album. You'll know what I mean after you listen to it...

He was not going through a divorce...just a separation, as they are still married.
He divorced his first wife, whom he married in 1969, in 1971.

Come to the moon -- love the song

It's good but it's not one of his better CD's. It and "Last Mango in Paris" are so different for him that I almost get the impression that he was pushed into it by MCA.
I have it and I really enjoy it but just know when you get it, it's really different from the Buffett stuff you may be used to.
Riddles in the Sand is an awesome CD and one of my top 5 also. She's Going Out of my Mind is one of my favorite songs. Also such greats as When The Wild Life Betrays Me, Knees of my Heart, La Vie Dansante, Who's the Blonde Stranger make this a must have.
I think I am going to get it now. I like most of the songs on the CD. I haven't heard maybe 3 songs. But I like blond stranger, la vie dansante, Come to the moon, knee to my heart.
Thank you everyone!!!!!!!!!

A bad day on vacation is better than a good day at work!!!!!!
I know alot of people don't give Jim's albums from the eighties alot of run, but in my opinion they are some of his best. Riddles in the Sand is probably my favorite album behind Barometer Soup. The whole CD is great. Actually, my least favorite song on the disc is Ragtop Day, which I know alot of people like. Burn that Bridge, La Vai, Come to the Moon, She's Going, are all great songs and when you throw in Knees, and Blonde Stranger, it makes it an unbelievable album. I'm not sure why people don't like his albums from the eighties as I believe they are just as good, in some cases better than the others. Off to see the Lizard and Last Mango are two great discs that are fun to sing along with. Get them all.
Riddles is one of my favorite JB discs. You'll know Knees of my Heart and Burn that Bridge from the live Auburn show. Other good ones are Blonde Stranger and Come to the Moon. Oh, and can't forget Ragtop Day. I guess I just like most all of the songs on there. One of Jimmy's better albums. Get it!
Great CD!! I agree that Jimmy's 80's work in un-appreciated. I love the 80 records.
I remember I was once on a long trip and I pulled into a gas station to get some music to pass the time. I found a "Off to see the Lizard" tape, (man, tapes, that was a long time ago) anyway I enjoyed every song just about and I've loved JB's 80's music ever since.
