2003 Top Buffett Moment For Me

Post by Goodman »

August 23rd at Tinley Park when JB dedicated This Hotel Room to my namesake.
I know Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Buffett is a friend of mine. Son, you're no Jimmy Buffett!

Great Woods, It's My Job followed by School Boy Heart, comes in a close second.

But not sure ANYTHING could top MIAMI :D

I didn't go to GW, but MIAMI was YOUR night, huh, SGH!!!!!

For me, it was Houston and Dallas. Getting to meet Molly's family and see the show with them....and then Dallas...well, that was a riot for me. Loved every second of it!

My first JB concert at Tilney Park (Chicago) and the great "intimate" concert at House of Blues by Mac MacAnally and the chance to hang out with other BNers -- what a crew!

Sitting on the deck of my cruise ship one night real late looking out at the ocean twinkling deep purple in the moonlight and singing "One Particular Harbor" softly to myself.

Top Jimmy Buffett moment for me

Post by gcraft »

Actually this wasn't in 2003, but quite a few years back, before I became a huge parrothead. I lived in a place called DeFuniak Springs, FL, and me and a friend of mine were cruising around town, and we drove by a gas station, and lo and behold there was JB's bus, so we turned around and by the time we got back to the station, it was already taking off! I still kick myself in the ass for not jumping out of that car and running up to that gas station!

I've been there. We go to Destin just about every year and pass right through there on the way. We spent the night there one night several years ago; it's a very nice little town. I wonder what Jimmy was doing there.
