"Jimmy" on Saturday Night Live?

Post by parrottonankle »

This topic may have been discussed before, but I can't find it in the forum. This past Saturday night (1-3-04), I had fallen asleep with the TV on and when I woke up, I saw "Jimmy Buffett" on the Weekend News skit. Of course it wasn't our real Jimmy Buffett, but I was wondering if anyone else had seen it? Please tell me that they weren't making fun of Bubba or I'll have to quit watching. :-?

I think that might have been a re-run, I remember seeing on here a while back that Horatio Sanz played Jimmy, and did quite a shitty job apparently. I dont really watch the show anymore, the cast has gone downhill quite a bit. And making fun of Jimmy is just unacceptable!

Yeah, they were. SNL makes fun of everybody (and always has), even everyone's beloved Bubba, it's what they do. I thought it was quite funny myself.

The show was a rerun and the skit was making fun of the Tyco "incident". It was a very bad impression (JB's not fat!) but they did reference "parrothead nation" in the skit. :wench:

The impersonation was horrendous, but the skit was funny. Horatio is a funny guy, just can't seem to keep a straight face. Personally, I believe the cast gets a bad wrap. I enjoy it as regularly as I can.
