Has anyone ever heard Jimmy do the song "Buttermilk Grove"? A friend of mine gave me a copy he downloaded, and I found it in a show from the 70's, but I've never heard it anywhere else. Anyone know of the song or of it's history?

Not really sure about the history of that song, other than its a song that was never released. I think I have that song on a radio show that Jimmy did in the 70's. I started wondering if there really was a buttermilk grove, and then I thought it has to exist, because there is a Margaritaville at This One Particular Harbour :D

Sorry I couldnt help much. :-?

Not something I've got or ever heard of. Best check with COBO. Weird title.

yeah, I went all through COBO but couldn't find anything. They have it as a download, and it's the version I already have, it's in the GCC so I guess I could play it, and they have a news clip just saying that they've added it to the vault, but that's it.

Just wondering if anyone knew the story, because clearly COBO doesn't.

since I'm the only one commenting here, I don't think anyone is interested.

BUT YOU SHOULD BE :)

Anyway, if you want to hear the song, and don't feel like searching Kazaa, you can download it from the Jimmy Buffett Online website. They have a show from Jan 3, 1974 you can download, and Buttermilk Grove is the first song on the bootleg. It's at the bottom of the page, from Cambridge MA. Try it, you'll like it :) Here's a direct link to the download page
