Alpine August 21st?

I have been hearing a rumor around the Twin Cities that Jimmy will be playing Alpine on August 21st which is a Saturday. An additional rumor is that Alan Jackson will be there also. This would be awesome as it is my birthday. An additional rumor is that Alan Jackson will be there also.

Any thoughts or anybody else heard this?

I haven't heard anything but August would be great.

That would be cutting it close for me, I have to move to New Orleans on or before the 22nd. So if this is the case I guess it will be ON the 22nd. Hopefully he will play his two chicago shows before Alpine or I will have to miss them this year. I dont know if could handle that! Please come through Jimmy and play Chicago the 18th and 20th!

Hey Rum where in Fridley?
I grew up right behind Redeemer Church off of Mississippi street on 65 1/2 ave. Live there from 1969 thru 1992 when I got married and moved to Blaine.
Just PM me and give me the info and maybe we can hook up or something.

Just to be clear.. Are there two rumors that Alan Jackson will be there, or just the one rumor?

1 rumor. I heard that Alan would perform some songs with Jimmy in Alpine much the same way Clint Black did in 2000.

I think he may have gotten his dates switched up a little. Since Alpine is most likely a Saturday show, it might be on the 21st, not the 22nd. I think PHMike was suggesting that JB might play Chicago the Tues. and Thurs. prior to the Saturday Alpine show, which is very unlikely. All we really have to go by is what he's done in the past, especially recent past. That is, to play Alpine and Chicago seperately and alternately in June and August. I wouldn't bet on Chicago and Alpine to all be in one week. He's been playing a Sat. show in Chicago for years and years.

Yes, we all know it's just a rumor... but it's still fun to discuss!

I've been spreading the same rumor of Alpine August 21st, but it's all speculation on my part, and a slightly educated guess based on the same recent history IUP referred to.

Rumor or not, its 20below with wind chill right now! I just want to THINK about being warm at this point!
Personally Id rather it not be the end of August in Alpine, too close to kids going back to school here and fall festival weekends starting up. Gets a little busy that time of year for me and friends. But just the talk of it warms me a bit..... just a bit.
