It is true. The general consensus on this site is that these duets s***. I dont have a problem with the duets except for Martina McBride and Nancy Griffith, because in my opinion Jimmy already has Nadirah and Tina to do duets with, and they are by far better than MM and NG. We will see though!

Just take a few minutes to look through the forums and you'll find plenty of discussion already posted on the subject...coronakid wrote:Or if its already been discussed but...I just read in my local Parotthead chapter newsletter that most of the songs off the new album are duets ..names like Toby Keith,Alan Jackson, Geoorge Strait, Martina Mcbride, Nancy Griffith and of course Kennt Chesney are mentioned.

CORRECTAMUNDO!
"I'll have what your having"
From what I've gathered the whole idea behind the record is for Buffett to work with some outside artists so it would make very little sense for him to duet with singers from his own band. I may be in the minority but I'm quite a Nanci Griffith fan myself. A recent Rolling Stone article hinted at Buffett including Cyndi Lauper as well.

I think I am in the minority here but I am excited about the new album. I respect all those artists on the list...even Cyndi Lauper. She has a new album out called At Last where she covers old classics like "At Last" by Etta James. Not bad.
I never want Jimmy to do the same ole thing. I appriciate the musician in him that wants to never settle for the status quo! I feel that everyone should at least give it a chance and not pre-judge. ..From the looks at the posts..that might be too late.
