I used to make this Bloody Mary back in my ski bumming bartender days in the early 90s
I use a pint glass salted rim (very important)
Vodka- about 3 ounces or about a 9 count pour (I like mine a little stronger, but not all are vodka fiends like I am)
6-8 dashes of worstershire sauce
2 fresh lemon wedges
Tabasco to taste but 4—5 dashes are standard
Coarse ground pepper
A heaping tablespoon of Horseradish (shhh. secret ingredient)
Pickled asparagus
12 oz V-8
In a ice filled shaker squeeze lemon wedges,
Add worstershire, Vodka, Tabasco, REAL horseradish, and V-8
Put on lid a shake very well as horseradish is extremely difficult to mix in
Salt rim of 16 oz glass
Strain into glass (no ice needed as it waters down the taste eventually)
Top with coarse ground pepper and garnish with asparagus
Enjoy
