I've been telling Braves fans that it just doesn't matter what you do against the other 4 teams in your division.
It's how you stack up against the other 29 in October.

Case in point- without looking it up, who won the NL West in 1982?

Answer - doesn't matter.

I also love the Red Sox. Watching Game 7 of the 2001 Series and seeing the Yankees lose made me a D-back fan forever! 8)

Diamondback fan....come on there are no d-back fans just like there are no real fans of Florida teams, because nobody is really from Florida or Arizona, when push comes to shove, they will be fans of where ever they came from in the first place :evil:

I think he'll keep smiling as long as the checks keep clearing. It's the only reason he signed with them. He can't be stupid enough to think they are going to win more than 50 games this year.

Well, Cubbie, I have to agree with you for the most part. I grew up in Portland (one-sport town), Oregon so I never had a "local" team to follow. I moved to Boston and the Red Sox were very easy to adopt!!! But now that I live here (and worked for the D-backs for a year) I am trying to be a loyal, local fan.

You'll notice I did mention the BoSox too...

I think the entire Phoenix area are Cubs fans! Coming down for Spring Training???
I wanna go back to the Island...
