From CMT's [url=http://www.cmt.com/news/articles/148487 ... lines=true]Hot Talk<a>: Great things are also expected for Jimmy Buffett's new novel, A Salty Piece of Land, which has a first printing of 650,000 copies. The novel features Tully Mars, the character Buffett introduced in Tales From Margaritaville. It is due out in May from Little, Brown.

That's funny! I emailed Little, Brown a few days ago, and got their reply today, too!

I wrote:

"Can you tell me when Jimmy Buffett's new book is scheduled for release?
I understand it was rescheduled for release on May 4, 2004, but he
recently said he was talking about the book with his editor, so I am
wondering if that date is still good. About sixty jillion Parrot Heads
want to know!

Also, will he be doing book signings?

Thank you."

They wrote back:

"A SALTY PIECE OF LAND is due in May 2004 and I'm sure he will be signing books. May 1st check our website for his tour schedule."

Their website is http://www.twbg.com.

I tried the link for the website of the publishing company and had no luck. Is that the right address? Thanks for any help!

A friend from the Metro PH Club said there was the following post yesterday on another site:

"Sorry for the bad news friends I talked with the folks at Little,Brown publishing and they said due to personal issues with JB the book will not be out until late fall 2004."

:(

I wish L,B's left hand knew what its right hand was telling people.

Sorry! I guess that was just for her email. The correct website URL is:

http://www.twbookmark.com/

Little, Brown is a division or subsidiary of Time Warner.

(I wanted to edit my errroneous post, but I guess you can't on this thread.)

I've always wondered what the purpose is in not being able to delete or edit a post you made in the News Forum. Someone care to enlighten me? :D
