Has anyone here seen a Buffett tribute band called Parrotville? They are playing kinda locally, and I was wondering if it was worth the trip?

Cool, thanks Pirate. By any chance, any BNers planning on attending the 2/28 show in Berwick, PA?

Parrotville will be playing the Staircase in Pittston, PA (between Scranton and Wilkes-Barre) this Saturday on Valentine's Day. The Landlocked Landsharks PHC will be out in force for the show. We will also be selling "hearts" as a fundraiser for the American Heart Association for Valentine's Day. And yes they are worth the trip.

Where are you from, conch? I'm in Ringtown, a bit south of Hazleton.

Well, we went to see Parrotville Saturday night. Maybe I just had my hopes set too high, but I was very disappointed with their perfomance. In fact, we left before the end of the first set. Instrumentally, they were decent - the songs more or less sounded like they were supposed to - but the vocals were way off, in my opinion. Christine described it as "akin to fingernails on a chalkboard".
Oh well...live and learn I guess.

Albatross & I have seen Parrotville several times, and have never been disappointed. We've met them face-to-face, they're very good about "mixing" with the audience. They were even cool enough to sign Albie's cast the last time we got to see them

I'm particularly fond of their "Lage Nom Ai", it rocks ! I'm sorry to see that you weren't happy with them. We even know some people who follow THEM around in addition to Buffett

I have seen them three times. Always a great time!

After one of the shows I talked to them about playing at our wedding reception.

Very nice people
