First of all, *I* didn't compile the lists, I found them on other web sites. This is also further evidence that apparently very few bothered to click on the links I posted at the beginning of the thread. The second link takes you to a list of albums released in 1974 which includes Living and Dying in 3/4 Time and A1A.

No problem but it seems that most people (not just here, but in the other forums I posted this thread) didn't even listen to the NPR story or look at the link to albums released that year before commenting.

Ah 1974.

graduated from High School. Started College in the fall. met 1 of my future ex wives going to different proms the same nite with other people.
bought a 67 Camaro...sigh....

remember the 8 track am/fm stereo blasting doobies and grand funk on a warm sunday out in the country.

remember hearing Wino and I know on the flip side of Come Monday's 45 my sister won from a local radio station and thinking its a cool song...

Long time gone.

OK let me say this NO I did not check the link but my replys were not to
the poster ( not in the sense that I thought they were wrong)
I just wanted my 2 cents in I was very deep in music at the time
and remember the songs, and still love some of them.
I did listen to the download and I didagree with the "critic"
He cites a few songs out of what one two hundred ? He parks Band On The
Run in '73 but places Springsteens Wild ......... in '74 ( a quick check shows
'73 there also) I think that If MR Critic would have listed all the songs
he might have had some cred. but with his "selecting" the songs
to represent '74 he just shows his A@@ .
I'm sorry if anyone thought I was point ing to them and mocking or name calling I was just reacting to what I read .

PS I still think the guy is an idiot PPS I still sing "Chevy Van" In the Shower
