not in south LA. mardi gras starts 10 days before fat tuesday- at least in new orleans and houma it does, which are the first and second largest mardi gras in the world, respectivly.

Well it is only about 1 1/2 drive.. ya COULD come see us in Mobile on Sunday afternoon.. WE can't leave cuz we are with a couple that doesn't want to go to New Orleans and miss the festivities of Sunday in Mobile. Ya know it's the ORIGINAL Mardi Gras!
