How funny...
I love winter...but I love summer more. Its funny, I've found myself listening to more and more Buffett in the recent days. And today, I finally went off the "winter" deep end.
My wife could only roll her eyes as I worked around the house today and drove to the grocery in a t-shirt, shorts and Birkenstocks. People looked. People pointed. I smiled.
By the way, Columbus, OH had a heat wave today. It nearly reached 40 degrees.
I'm with you CaptainP, bring on SUMMER!
p.s. Love the photo.

Why no...I LOVE winter.
I love shoveling. Where else can you work up a sweat like that when you're alone?
And a cold car is the best at 6 AM. Who needs those warm blankets in your bed that you just left anyway? A cold car puts hair on your chest and gets you ready to GREET THE WORLD!
And who doesn't want to dig a pathway through their backyard? Is there anything cuter than a dog who poops in the same spot for 3 months because every place else is over his head?
Oh, and don't worry if there's too much snow on your pool cover, that water dripping out the side makes a nice ice flow for the kids to slide on.
One less trip to the ice rink!
I don't know about you but when those sand truck come around, I would love it if they would just spread it directly ON my wood floors, rather than wait for everyone to track it in.
Winter is wonderful, the sea gull crap freezes right to the windsheild. No rubbing or buffing like you normally have to do, you can just "flick" it off.
It's so much easier to park at Wal Mart when half the parking spaces are filled up with snow and upside down shopping carts.
And of course, I love to use my colored margarita salt on my sidewalk. I have the most popular sidewalks in the neighborhood.
So no, I'm not tired of winter...what the heck are you taking about?

(Well, except Vegas and the occasional So Cal surpise)

We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

AHH summertime! It's what I look forward to all year long. As mild as the winters are here in SC, I still can't wait till they're over. If the temp is below 50, I'm miserable. I can't imagine living up north where it snows so much and the temp stays in the 20's for most of the time. People think I'm kidding when I say I'm going to retire to Florida. I say "you'll see". I'll send 'em a post card of a beautiful Florida beach in the middle of Jan. Ha Ha Ha.
THOU SHALL NOT EAT THY NEIGHBOR'S WIFE......'S POPCORN!

I am soooooooo ready for summer! Or spring for that matter! I get way too excited when it gets up to 40 degrees and there isn't any new snow coming down and think that means the end of winter is near, but I have lived in OHIO my whole life, so I should know by now that the end of winter isn't usually until April!!
Bring on the sun and the summer tour dates!

Summer
Bring on that summer. 60 degrees. That is not Spring. I need that 80 degree stuff. Just looking at Jimmy on the Today show on that island was enough to say Bring on 80 degrees. I am truly ready for summer.
