It is 28 degrees in Virginia Beach and the snow is coming down fast and heavy. its been snowing for the better part of 20 minutes and we have more than half an inch of snow already. And we are sappost to get 2-3 inches by tommorow morning.

three inches will, yeah. when we lived in that area, it snowed 8" and the kids were out of school for a week, because the county had no snow removal equipment to speak of, and had to wait for it to melt.....SMLCHNG wrote:@ Jen... I understand it's different on the other coast.. but 1/2 an inch??

when I lived in the Poconos it was life as usual with any amount up to a foot. A typical "storm" though would dump 18-20"
here in Tidewater VA they just don't get enough snow to warrent buying the equipment.
An interesting stat I read when I moved here was from 1980-1990 it snowed a total of 19" in a 10 year span, not bad!

Sunny, highs in the 80's, lows in the low 70's, possibility of showers windward.
See?
