When does BN decide you are "no longer watching a topic

Post by DrunkenIrish »

I was just wondering because when I post I will get emails saying someone has responded, but at some point they stop arriving. That's good when I'm in an event thread where we're all commenting like maniacs, but bad when someone goes back and responds to me in an old thread and I am unaware.

What's the criteria for BN to decide not to send you update emails?

Not sure about your question. But, in my opinion, the best way to be sure you never miss a post is to watch the lights next to each topic. If the light is on, there's been a new post since the last time you logged on.

Or.... you can always click on the "latest posts".. :D :D

DI? I don't really know that answer.. I thought it was indefinite until you clicked 'stop watching this topic'. You might wanna pose your question in a PM to PHJim. :)

DI - I do know that if you don't "follow the link" in the e-mail sent you don't receive another notification until you do.......maybe that's it??

I don't think that's it though. I always use the links sent to me via email, and sooner or later they just stop coming. It would be a real pain in the a** for you guys, because you answer a lot of questions and it really would fill up your mailbox. I'd just like to know at what point the emails stop going out. No big thing, just a curiosity.

maybe I'll PM it to pjim. Thanks guys :)
